Why do I love Lady Gaga so much!?

by Jacob Morales
2009 is shaping up to be the year of Gaga. Lady Gaga, born Stefani Germontta, has been setting the charts a blaze with mammoth singles "Just Dance," and "Poker Face," and her "Fame" album keeps rising on the charts.
I heard "Just Dance," last April on a rather questionable channel and I immediately loved it. Then I saw Lady Gaga perform at some pageant, I think it might have been Miss America, and I thought she was super weird but fresh. Late last year when "Just Dance," started to get major play I decided to check out her other stuff.
Although some of her lyrics are questionable, "Lets go to a Killer's concert and make out on the bleachers," there is no denying Gaga can produce some infectious confections.
With awful contrite pop music like Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, and Soulja Boy inhabiting the charts, it's good so see a unique and original artist making a name for herself. She also gets kudos for citing her inspirations, David Bowie and Andy Warhol. Akon believes in her! Christina Aguilera and Beyonce are trying to jack her style (Don't think I didn't notice the leotard thing, backup dancers and stunna shades Mrs. Knowles-Z). She's unstoppable! Her newest single "LoveGame," is set to blow up the charts just like her previous efforts. The video is pretty sick and I dig the '80s vibe. It's got silly lyrics but lives up to them, "This beat is sick." It also doesn't hurt that she's dreamy!

Kid Cudi just got way cooler in my eyes

by Jacob Morales
So, I was carousing MTV news to find somethin' newsworthy when I came across this awesome bit of information. I knew about Kanye protege Kid Cudi, pronounced Kud-Dee not cootie, late last year before "Day N' Night" started blowing up and I knew he was destined for greatest. The first time I heard that track I knew it would eventually blow up. I've been anticipating his full length record ever since.
Well I saw this blog headline about "blah blah Kid Cudi's alter ego." I rolled my eyes. Musicians need to get over it! They were born the way they are! Yeah you Beyonce! Well I clicked on this link and was pleasently surprised.
Kid Cudi's alter ego is named Juan Pablo! Holla! This is due to Kid Cudi's heritage being half Mexican and half black. Pablo is someone who is more in touch with his chicano roots. “He’s got swag, but he’s so silly,” he told Tim Kash of MTV. “But people just let him do his thing, because he has so much confidence in himself.”
Heck yes! Represent mang! I think Kid Cudi just got way more cool in my book. We need more people to look up to!

Lil Kim is crazy!

by Jacob Morales
Lil Kim will not rest until her views on the Biggie biopic "Notorious" are heard by everyone in the world. Lil Kim has already expressed her dissatisfaction with how she was portrayed in the film.
Now, in a new interview with RapRadar.com, Kim said that Biggie often talks to her in her dreams, and she claimed the legendary rapper is unhappy about the project as well.
"I'm a very spiritual person and he's come to me many times in my dreams," she said. "But I don't think he's happy at all, at all! Because Ms. Wallace doesn't know Biggie at all and she barely knows Christopher, if you know what I mean. At all! And I was around. Even before he blew up so crazy, so I know how he felt about his mom. And Biggie was so much more than what they put him out to be in that movie. And to be honest with you, I know for a fact he's not happy. He's not satisfied at all. At all. And regardless of the fact, everybody who is involved in this movie, he has love for. Everybody. But at the end of the day, he knows who's who and what's what. Believe that. And let me tell you something, the way he's feeling is going to come out later. You're going to see who he really loved and the ones that's standing up for him the right way is the ones representing him the right way."
As someone who loved Biggie's music and thought the film was pretty good, although probably biased...it admittedly was one of the few films that made me tear up, I think Lil Kim should just take an exlax and relax. Go do "Dancing with the Stars," re-energize your career, stop changing your face and put Biggie to rest in peace.

Better bust out them credit cards 'cause Chris Brown is gonna get charged

by Jacob Morales
During an arraignment today, The Los Angeles District Attorney's office charged Chris Brown with felony assault and a felony count of making criminal threats in connection with his alleged altercation with Rihanna on February 8. The charges could land Brown in jail for seven years *coughgoodriddancecough*.
CNN reported more disturbing details about said night. The report alleges that Brown tried to force Rihanna out of the car, shoved Rihanna's head against the passenger window, struck her several times, bit her and and put her in a headlock, nearly causing her to lose consciousness.
According to the statement, Brown "continued to punch her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand." After Rihanna reportedly bent over and tried to protect her face from Brown's punches, he allegedly continued to strike her and throw her cell phone out of the car window when she attempted to call one of her personal assistants.
Brown did not enter a plea and his arraignment has been postponed until April. Rihanna declined to issue a restraining order, for shame.
I severely hope that he serves hard time. I find it disgusting how people are saying "Give him a break! People make mistakes." Imagine if that was someone you knew, yeah I'm talking to you Kanye. He is of age to know that hitting anybody is never okay. I don't think either him nor Rihanna's career's will ever be the same.
Looks like Mr. Brown might not be water skiing anytime soon!
PS. I give Usher kudos for saying that Chris Brown isn't remorseful. I take my kudo back because he took what he said back.

Rihanna is a naive little girl.
by Jacob Morales
What are you thinking Rihanna! Apparently, if the reports are true, Rihanna and Chris Brown reunited and stayed at a house owned by Diddy *coughIknewhewasanidiotcough* in Miami recently. Rihanna's father now supports her decision.
Yeah, that's all fine and dandy but I don't! I'm so disappointed in Rihanna! He hit you! Why would you even want to talk to him and why is your father okay with that? At this point I want to boycott both of their music because of how stupid they both are.
In lamo watch, the first few pictures of Brown after the incident have surfaced. He's waterskiing in Miami. Look at his face! Disgusting! I can't stop laughing at it, so pretentious!

There may be hope for a Danity Kane reunion

by Jacob Morales
Aubrey O'Day, the fired member of Danity Kane who posed for Playboy earlier this year, admitted to MTV news that she would be opened to a reunion with her fellow members of the now defunct girl group. "I have so much respect for that situation, if there was ever interest in me coming back ... and making music with the girls, I would never say no to something like that," she said.
Currently MTV is running the millionth season of "Making The Band 4" and is still trying to make fans think there is hope for Danity Kane, although Dawn Richards pretty much admitted earlier this month that it is pretty much dunzo. Does anybody really know the real reason for the break up? I was never really a fan but if I was I would be angry. They haven't even said why they just keep on beating around the bush.
After watching the show I have to wonder...why would anyone want to work for Diddy? Donnie Klang hasn't released his album yet because nobody likes him, Day 26's first album flopped...Diddy's track record isn't as great as it was during Bad Boy Record's heyday in the 90s. He was cool when Biggie was around, now I just think he's annoying.

Rihanna picture is released as she breaks silence

By Jacob Morales
I would post the leaked Rihanna picture after the altercation but I think I would get in trouble. Last week, TMZ leaked the photo and nobody really knows how they obtained the rather graphic picture. Rihanna broke her silence last week. "At the request of the authorities, Rihanna is not commenting about the incident involving Chris Brown," reads a statement from her representatives. "She wants to assure her fans that she remains strong, is doing well, and deeply appreciates the outpouring of support she has received during this difficult time."
It's really awful that the photograph got leaked. I personally didn't believe it but apparently it really is Rihanna. She's extremely bruised and I guess I didn't think her injuries we be that bad. I really hope that everything gets settled and Chris Brown pays the price which is to stop making sub-par R&B music.
